Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- A Pyongyang mass rally took place at Kim Il Sung Square on September 23 to vow to turn out in the anti-U.S. showdown to achieve the final victory.

The square was crowded with more than 100 000 people from all walks of life full of the spirit of annihilating the enemies.

Present at the rally were Kim Su Gil, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, Cha Hui Rim, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, officials of institutions, factories and enterprises, working people, youth and students in Pyongyang.

Kim Su Gil read out the statement of Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un.

Speeches were made at the rally.

Choe Hak Chol, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, said that all the Party members and people in Pyongyang are aflame with the will to completely remove the U.S. imperialists, the sworn enemy, from the globe.

He noted that in order to cope with the reckless moves of the U.S. imperialists aimed at doing harm to the supreme dignity of the DPRK, we will do all the party's organizational and political work with priority given to defending the leader and to turn Pyongyang into an impregnable fortress to safeguard the leader so that any enemy dares not provoke.

Cha Hui Rim, chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, branded Trump's most ignorant remarks ever known in history as the biggest unpardonable mud-slinging at the dignified DPRK and an undisguised declaration of war.

Trump's death-bed remarks clearly proved that the line of simultaneously developing the two fronts with which invincible military capacities have been increased in the face of the vicious sanctions and pressure of the U.S. imperialists and their vassal forces was absolutely right and that it is the line to be upheld to the last, he said.

He underscored the need to bring about eye-opening successes in economic construction and the improvement of people's living standard in the capital city in the spirit of devotedly defending the leader and the spirit of protecting the country.

Ri Il Bae, a commanding officer of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards, called upon all the units of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards to turn villages and worksites into impregnable fortresses and today's Xiaowangqing guerrilla zone and bring about the greatest innovations and leap forward under the uplifted banner of self-reliance so as to frustrate the enemy's war provocations, sanctions and blockade.

We are waiting for the moment of final decisive battle to remove the U.S., empire of evil, from the globe, he said, added that once respected Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un issues an order, we will annihilate the group of aggressors with the arms of revolution.

Pak Song Chol, first secretary of the youth league committee of Kim Il Sung University, said that the statement of respected Supreme Leader indicative of his high responsibility for the destiny and future of the country and the people and his strong pluck to remain unshaken by any tempests is an attack order calling all the youth in the capital city to the do-or-die battle.

He called for opening up the route of charge for annihilating the enemies by taking the lead in the sacred battle for wiping out the Yankees from the earth to the last man, for the honor of the great Kim Il Sung's nation and Kim Jong Il's Korea.

Then there was a mass demonstration.

Reaching far and wide were shouts and calls of high-spirited demonstrators full of the stamina not to miss the golden opportunity for giving vent to pent-up wrath of the Korean people but to wipe out the U.S. group of ignorant gangsters letting loose such invectives as "total destruction". -0-
