The Taejon Headquarters of the Movement for Achieving People's Rights and Removing Evils in south Korea grouping 85 organizations in Taejon held a press conference on March 7 outside the building of the Taejon City branch of the "Liberal Korea Party"(LKP), in which it urged the dissolution of the LKP, a cesspit of all evils, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News.
The organization in a press release contended that the LKP has adopted an impudent attitude toward the growing voices of the people for punishing those denying the history of the Kwangju uprising and distorting its spirit.
It said that there is no need for the LKP to exist any longer as it tries to reverse the history, far from apologizing and reflecting on its crimes against the people.
The LKP distorting the May 18 popular resistance and laying a chill on the efforts for peace on Korean peninsula must be disbanded, the organization stressed.
