Vietnamese State Art Troupe Gives Performance

The Vietnamese State Art Troupe on a visit to the DPRK gave a performance “Sunshine on a Spring Day” at the Mansudae Art Theatre on April 14.
The Vietnamese party and government have made sincere efforts, attaching great significance to the Pyongyang performance by the art troupe composed of international concour winners and other artistes.
Ri Su Yong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, and officials concerned shared greetings with the leading members of the art troupe and the Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK at the theatre.
Among the audience were creators, artistes, teachers in the sector of culture and the arts in Pyongyang, foreign diplomatic envoys and representatives of international organizations and embassy officials in the DPRK.
The Vietnamese entertainers put on the stage songs, instrumental music and dance numbers they have prepared with sincerity.
They impressively expressed their heartfelt reverence for the leaders of older generations of the two countries.
Mixed duet “Ardent Wish” reflecting admiration for Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un touched the heartstrings of the audience.
Put on the stage were such numbers as depicting the culture, national sentiments and living customs of the Vietnamese people, and the musical and dance works much favored by the Korean people and world-famous music.
The performance received a standing ovation.
The audience congratulated the Vietnamese artistes on their successful performance, presenting bouquets to them.
