Jong Ho Bom, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, met and had a talk with U Soe Han, Director General of the Political Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on May 8.
The Ambassador explained that the Korean people, in hearty response to the historic policy speech made by Comrade Kim Jong Un , Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, turned out for implementation of the tasks set out in the policy speech, and he also informed the DPRK’s efforts for peace and stability of the Korean peninsula.
The Director General of the Political Department said that the issues of Korean peninsula should be resolved in accordance with the June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement and mentioned that Myanmar will always support the efforts of the DPRK for resolving the issues of Korean peninsula through dialogue and negotiation.
