Saber Ballul, Head of the Department of the Political Faculty of University of Damascus in Syria, released a statement on June 12 to mark the first anniversary of the adoption of the June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement.

He said that on June 12 last year, a summit meeting and talks were held between Supreme Leader of the DPRK Kim Jong Un and U.S. President Trump for the first time in history and the DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement was made public.

He went on:

Humankind expected that the DPRK and the U.S. which have been most hostile to each other on the earth would write a new history.

The DPRK answered the international community’s demand for peace and prosperity with putting important and strategic decisions into practice.

But the U.S. does not implement the DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement and insists on the demand unacceptable to the DPRK.

The U.S. attitude will never work against the DPRK.
