July 11 marks the 58th anniversary of the conclusion of the DPRK-China Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.
The treaty personally signed by the leaders of the elder generation of the two countries on July 11, 1961 laid a firm legal foundation for permanently consolidating and developing the friendly and cooperative relations nurtured in the bloody struggle for independence and socialism against imperialism.
The treaty has made a great contribution to developing the DPRK-China friendly and cooperative relations, advancing the socialist cause of the two countries and defending peace and security in Asia and the rest of the world century after century.
The rapport between the leaders of the elder generations of the two countries formed the fundamental foundation of the development of the DPRK-China friendly relations and has served as a nutritive element that makes the bilateral friendship further blossom as required by the new times.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the People’s Republic of China four times up to now since last year and thus ushered in a new heyday of the development of the friendly relations between the DPRK and China.
The current international environment requires the peoples of the two countries to carry forward the DPRK-China relations in conformity with the trend of the times.
This is a duty common to the peoples of the two countries.
Much water has flowed under the bridge and a lot of things have changed.
But the truth that the peoples of the DPRK and China have inseparable relations remains unchanged.
