Korean Students Wage Social and Political Activities across Samjiyon County

Pyongyang, August 13 (KCNA) -- At least 4 800 students from more than 110 universities across the country dedicated their summer holidays to social and political activities in Samjiyon County now under remodeling.
At the construction sites of the Samjiyon Children's Camp, the Millim Health Complex and others, members of students' shock brigade carried over 1 300 cubic meters of sand, fine gravel and pumice sand and other building materials to the construction sites and removed and excavated thousands of cubic meters of earth on the first day of their work.

Students of Kim Chaek University of Technology, Pyongyang Jang Chol Gu University of Commerce, Pyongyang University of Mechanical Engineering and other universities in Pyongyang wound up hundreds of cubic meters of concrete tamping and arranged a thousand and several hundreds of square meters of area in five days.

Students of Wonsan Jong Jun Thaek University of Economics, and Wonsan University of Fisheries dug out hundreds of cubic meters of earth and paved a 200 meters-long principal road with concrete by collecting large amounts of building materials.

Students of Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, College of Education No. 2 of Phyongbuk University, Hamhung University of Medicine, Chongjin University of Medicine, Pyongyang University of Foreign Studies, Jo Kun Sil Wonsan University of Technology, Nampho University of Education and others gave 300-odd rounds of agitation and band music performances at construction sites and rendered lots of aid materials to builders.

Students of universities including Pyongyang Tourism College and Hwangbuk University took warm care of the living of war veterans and disabled soldiers in the township of the county.
