Let Us Concentrate All Our Efforts on Harvesting and Threshing to Finish Them in Time
Today the agricultural front is the outpost for defending socialism.
The hostile forces persist in base and hideous sanctions to check the advance and development of the dignified DPRK.
When we successfully tackle the food problem, we have nothing to worry about, no matter what desperate sanctions the hostile forces may impose on us for 10 or 20 years.
To attain self-sufficiency in food by increasing grain production is the key to a breakthrough for economic development and improvement of people’s livelihood.
Making an excellent beginning of the farming is important but successfully winding it up also serves as an important part in increasing the grain production to the maximum. All the agricultural workers and supporters dedicated themselves to rice-transplanting, weeding and manuring and cultivation despite unfavorable conditions this year in hearty response to the Party’s call. How to conclude the farming done with much effort all spring and summer hinges on the outcome of harvest and threshing. As Typhoon-13 hit many areas to damage crops and inundate fields, harvest should be done meticulously in order to minimize the decrease in grain production. It is the most important task facing us to secure maximum grain production by successfully finishing harvest and threshing.
All the officials and working people are obliged to turn out as one in harvest and threshing, fully understanding that now is an important and crucial time for defending Korean-style socialism and accelerating the bolstering of national power and advance and development of the country.
Let us successfully conclude this year’s farming by concentrating all efforts and means on harvest and threshing and thus attaining the goal of grain production set by the party at any cost.
