Kim Jong Un , Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a message of greetings to Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China(CPC) and President of the People’s Republic of China(PRC), on Tuesday.

He in the message sent the warmest congratulations and greetings to the General Secretary and, through him, to the CPC and the government of the PRC and all the Chinese people in the name of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the government of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Korean people, on the occasion of the 70th founding anniversary of the PRC.

The founding of the PRC, the precious gain of the hard-fought Chinese revolution, marked an event of immense historic significance as it gave new origin to carving out the destiny of the Chinese people, the message said, and continued:

For the past 70 years, the resourceful and diligent Chinese people waged unyielding struggle under the great leadership of the CPC to weather all sorts of challenges and hardship of history and bring about an epochal change on the land of China. This has markedly increased the overall national power and international prestige of the PRC.

A particular mention should be made of the fact that the Chinese people won a decisive victory in building a moderately prosperous society, rallied around the CPC with the General Secretary at the core in single mind after the 18th Congress of the CPC and are now making giant strides towards the higher goal of building a modern socialist power.

The history of gigantic struggle covered by the PRC clearly proved that socialism is, indeed, the most correct and inevitable option for the Chinese people and that the leadership by the CPC is a key factor that enabled the Chinese people to follow the path of victory only, unperturbed by any tempests.

We are sure that the fraternal Chinese people will attain the “Two Centenary Goals” and surely emerge victorious in the new long journey for realizing the dream of China, i.e. great prosperity of the Chinese nation, as they are led by the General Secretary and the CPC and there is the idea of building socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.

Our Party, government and people fully support the Chinese Party, government and people in their struggle to defend the stability and the core interests of the country and achieve sustainable development, and will always stand by them on the path of defending and glorifying socialism.

The message expressed the firm conviction that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and the PRC would develop with added vitality day by day in line with the needs of the new era and the common desire of the peoples of the two countries, in the spirit of the important agreement reached at several meetings with the General Secretary.

The message wished the General Secretary good health and greater success in his work.

It also wished the PRC eternal prosperity and the Chinese people happiness all the time.
