Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the armed forces of the DPRK, again inspected the construction site of Yangdok spa resort that nears completion.

He was accompanied by leading officials of the WPK Central Committee Jang Kum Chol, Jo Yong Won, Hyon Song Wol and Han Kwang Sang.

Making the rounds of the blocks of holiday homes for workers, recuperation blocks, hotels, indoor and outdoor spas, health complexes, horse-riding park and ski slope, the Supreme Leader acquainted himself in detail with the construction to carry out the tasks set forth by the Party after he had inspected the construction project on October 23.

He said that all the buildings of the resort are covered with tiles of various sizes and colours produced by the Chollima Tile Factory well in a new style, as the handrails of balconies of all buildings are painted white as was instructed before, they look neat and elegant and all buildings look wonderful.

He inspected the implementation of the set tasks one by one, those of building more skylights in the indoor spa bathhouse, removing the diving tower of the swimming pool and pavilion and making its indoor layout again, covering the floor around individual bathtubs with wooden flooring materials instead of artificial turf, fixing cabinets for spices in the egg boiling places of outdoor spa, laying heating pipes along the walkway to outdoor spa and supplying spa waste water, widening the steep ski slope to ensure safety and others, and said they have done a lot of jobs in a short time.

Yangdok spa resort is a hot spring treatment service base to improve the health and welfare of the people and provide them with a new field of cultural and emotional life as desired by our Party and a multi-functional, all-purpose sports and cultural resort and, therefore, not a slightest defect should be allowed, he said, setting forth detailed tasks for the completion, operation and management of the resort.

He underscored the need to pay specially attention to the disinfection and management of over hundreds of bathtubs and sanitation appliances in the resort including individual ones in indoor and outdoor spas, hot spring water parks in hotels and other lodgings as required by the regulations.

He called for completing the horse-riding park under construction in the resort at an early date so that working people can conduct various sports and cultural activities like skiing and horse-riding and have hot spring bath. A golf course should be built in the area in the future, he added.

He stressed the need for the construction headquarters of the resort to organize the work and guidance more carefully to finish the project without fail by the date of completion set by the Party and ensure the inauguration ceremony.
