Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- The Japan Air "Self-Defense Force" recently staged at a park in Aichi Prefecture a drill for deploying a Patriot interceptor missile system before the eyes of the press.

Similar drills were staged in the middle of Tokyo and in the compound of the Defense Ministry under the pretext of "coping with a missile threat" from someone in October.

The ever-mounting reckless moves of the Japanese reactionaries are a clear manifestation of their unchanged hostile policy towards the DPRK and an intolerable provocation to it.

Such hostility toward the DPRK and the chauvinist trend in Japan are not the ones that happened recently.

Japan is the sworn enemy of the Korean people, which has lived on massacre, war and aggression, inflicting untold misfortune and pain upon them generation after generation.

Notably in the last century, the Japanese imperialists' long illegal occupation of Korea and brutal colonial rule over it imposed huge manpower, material, mental and moral loss upon the Korean nation. Such damage still lingers.

Japan, which still stands in the dock of the court of history, due to its hideous crimes against the Korean people and other Asian peoples, talks about "threat", far from making an apology and reparation to the victims. This is, indeed, the height of impudence.

Antagonism towards the DPRK that grows stronger in Japan at the sensitive time brings to light the sinister intention of the Abe regime to push the situation of the Korean peninsula and the region to a catastrophe and continue to seek "benefits" from the troubled waters in the era of showdown.

The Japanese reactionaries are trying to divert the world's vigilance away from them, claiming that "north Korea's missile launch is a threat to regional peace and security" and "provocation to the international community."

Against this backdrop, they are keen on arms buildup and military drills for reinvasion of Korea.

The reality clearly proves that Japan remains unchanged in its hostile policy towards the DPRK.

Japan has harbored hatred towards the international community that meted out a severe punishment on it since its defeat. So, it has speeded up its preparations for reinvasion out of its revanchist idea in a systematical and comprehensive manner.

It fixed the DPRK as its first target for doing so and has been crazy about military preparations. Such foolhardy moves only give rise to bitterer indignation of the Korean people.

Hostility and confrontation will bring destruction and disaster only.

Japan's desperate provocation to the DPRK will only hasten the day of the second defeat of the lonely island country. -0-
