Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- "Maebongsan"-trademarked winter shoes produced by the Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory are now winning popularity among citizens of the DPRK for their lightness and comfort.
Such success would have been unthinkable without devoted efforts and guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
The Supreme Leader visited the remodeled Wonsan Leather Shoes Factory in January Juche 104 (2015).
Going round the factory with satisfaction, he learned about the weight of men's and women's shoes and appreciated that the shoes are light and they are of good quality. And he said that the quality of men's shoes seems to be better than his shoes.
That day, he gave precious instructions for normalizing the production and making better shoes, noting that a firm foundation of shoe-making industry has been established to produce shoes suited to people's taste and demands with locally available raw materials.
He visited the factory again in November that year and said that its officials should carefully watch the shoes of citizens and ask them about the quality of shoes with a viewpoint and attitude of producing more quality shoes for the people.
Thanks to his loving care, the "Maebongsan"-trademarked shoes could be famous products loved by the people. -0-
