Green building materials play an important role in preventing global warming and protecting ecological environment.
The 2nd Pyongyang International Exhibition of Green Building Materials and Furniture was held in Pyongyang last year, drawing the attention of local and foreign visitors.
Over 50 companies from different countries, including the DPRK and China, took part in the exhibition, On display there were green building materials based on the successes of ultra-modern science and technology and different kinds of pieces of furniture with various uses and sci-tech data.
Pak Ung Sik, director of the Korean International Exhibition Corporation, said the exhibition served as a good occasion for exchanging the achievements made and experience gained in the sector of green building materials and furniture and promoting economic and trading activities and developing science and technology.
Songwang Trading Company exhibited over ten kinds of green building parts, including various furniture made of such natural materials as caster aralia and black walnut, and doors, cupboards and insulating windows with unique styles, stealing the limelight of visitors.
All its exhibits were produced by making use of domestic raw materials abundant in the country, instead of those materials imported in the past.
Various kinds of anion products displayed by Unjong Cutting-edge Technology Company won high appraisal of visitors.
Today, anion is called “air-vitamin” for its peculiar efficacy to promoting health, and it is widely used in relieving physical fatigue and improving health.
Its anion pillow, air anion generator and air anion curtain won sweeping popularity among visitors for their special action of purifying the air in the room and preventing the acidification of human fluids.
The air anion curtain, a patent based on green purifying technology, was made of functional textile which releases anion, far infrared rays and biocurrent.
Meanwhile, Maeyang Trading Corporation and other units exhibited a lot of multi-functional and multi-purpose furniture and green building products based on cutting-edge science and technology.
