Kim Yo Jong, first deputy director of a department of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, released the following statement on Tuesday:

As the saying goes, a burnt child dreads the fire.

It just befitted the Blue House of south Korea when it reacted to the fire drill conducted by the frontline artillerymen of the Korean People's Army yesterday.

The drill was not aimed at threatening anybody.

For the army whose raison d’etre is the defence of the country, training is the main work and an activity for self-defence.

Therefore, we wonder why the Blue House talked about "deep regret" and "demand for its discontinuation".

Their remarks are truly impertinent and stupid.

In fact, these are the words the Blue House and the defence ministry often parrot like the answering machine.

A question is why they spit out any words at random though it is nothing to do with them whether we do training or have a rest.

As far as I know, the south side is quite keen on doing joint military exercises and hell-bent on purchasing ultra-modern military hardware while committing all disgusting acts.

It is obvious that they have introduced state-of-the-art fighters into south Korea by stealth in order to attack us, not to spray agricultural chemicals..

Everybody knows that the joint military exercise slated for March has been postponed due to COVID-19 rampant in south Korea, not by the decision of the occupants of the Blue House who are indifferent to peace, reconciliation and cooperation.

We are so curious to know what the Blue House would say if we ask the south side to stop the joint war games it is so eager to play, for the reason that they are of no help to the efforts for detente on the Korean peninsula.

It is really the height of shamelessness that those who are so bent on war games criticize others for staging military exercises on their land.

In a nutshell, they mean they need to get militarily prepared but we should not do military exercises. Who would deal with those who present gangster-like, unreasonable arguments as a normal dialogue partner?

Such illogical argument and behaviour of the Blue House only magnify our distrust, hatred and contempt for the south side as a whole beyond any individual.

It is just we who have to express "deep regret" at such illogical and imbecile way of thinking of the Blue House as it is guided by the logic that they can conduct military exercises and others should not.

Though this might deeply offend them, we see there is little difference between the Blue House and a little child in behaviour.

The Blue House seems to be the perfect copy of the US to see that it clings to gangster-like, unreasonable arguments.

It is natural for south Korea to take after the US as it has been dependent on the latter, valuing the alliance with the Americans dearer than the fellow countrymen.

If it is set to confront us, it had better be more brave and fair and square.

The south side's response is really regrettable and disappointing, but I should say it is somewhat fortunate that it was not the direct statement of the president.

How come all its words and acts are so perfectly foolish in detail?
