Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Chongsan-ri in Kangso District, Nampho City of the DPRK, is a historic place where President Kim Il Sung created the Chongsan-ri spirit and Chongsan-ri method, the idea and method of guiding the masses, and unfolded a grandiose plan for the socialist rural construction.
The President set forth a policy on improving the work system and work method in keeping with the new situation at the December Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea in Juche 48 (1959). In February 1960, he gave field guidance to Chongsan-ri and the then Kangso County for 15 days.
In those days, he met with peasants, old persons and officials of the ri and the county to listen to the voices of the masses and indicated the ways for correctly managing the socialist rural economy at the general meeting of the Chongsan-ri Party Committee.
The essence of the Chongsan-ri spirit and Chongsan-ri method is that the higher body helps the lower, and the superior assists those under him and always visits the workplaces in order to have a good understanding of actual conditions and find correct solutions to problems, gives priority to political work, work with people in all undertakings and enlists the conscious enthusiasm and initiative of the masses so as to ensure the fulfillment of revolutionary tasks.
The validity and vitality of the Chongsan-ri spirit and Chongsan-ri method, embodiment of the Juche idea and the revolutionary mass line, have been proved in reality. -0-
