In October 1994 Chairman Kim Jong Il gave officials precious instructions to carry forward the revolutionary cause of President Kim Il Sung to completion.
Kim Jong Il told them that we should invariably follow only the road of the revolution traversed by Kim Il Sung and concentrate all our efforts on accomplishing his cause. He continued:
“We should staunchly defend and enrich the revolutionary achievements of Kim Il Sung the way we did in his lifetime and carry out the revolution and construction true to his intentions just as he did…”
This played upon the heartstrings of the officials beyond description.
That day Kim Jong Il emphasized at a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Party Central Committee, too, that we should always plan and conduct our work with the teachings of Kim Il Sung as our guidelines and earnestly affirmed that in the future he would ensure that the historical teachings given by him during his leadership in the revolution and construction were invariably adopted as our sole guidelines for all ages and carried out thoroughly.
Kim Jong Il implicitly believed that a strong socialist country of Juche should be built on this land with the revolutionary ideas of Kim Il Sung as our only eternal guidelines as he wished.
