Pyongyang, May 25 (KCNA) -- The history of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) is the one adorned with the brilliant victory for the Juche-based idea of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu on the overseas compatriots' movement and their distinguished leadership, and the one of loving care associated with their boundlessly noble fraternity and love of nation, says Rodong Sinmun in an article on Monday.

President Kim Il Sung created the original idea and theory on the overseas compatriots' movement for the first time in history, successfully applied them to the movement of Koreans in Japan and thus brought about a radical turn in carving out the destiny of Koreans in Japan.
Chairman Kim Jong Il had paid deep attention to the development of Chongryon and the destiny of Koreans in Japan from the very days of his revolutionary leadership and led the movement of Koreans in Japan along the road of victory with his outstanding ideological and theoretical wisdom and wise leadership.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, who has valued and loved Chongryon and Koreans in Japan, illumined the detailed tasks and ways to thoroughly implement the cordial instructions of Kim Jong Il for putting the movements of Koreans in Japan onto a new high stage as required by changes in situation and shifts in generation.
Indeed, the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu are the great leaders and boundlessly tender-hearted fathers who have taken care of the destiny of Chongryon officials and Koreans in Japan with noble trust in them and moral obligation to let them lead a genuine life on the road of patriotism.
Thanks to their loving care, Chongryon has developed into a genuine organization of overseas citizens of the DPRK that shares the destiny with their socialist homeland.
As there are the blessings of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu and the protection and profound solicitude of the homeland for it, Chongryon always remains stable and no raging storm can stop its invincible ranks advancing firmly rallied around the Republic.
