The strategic goal of socialist construction clarified by the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist revolutionary theory is to occupy the ideological and material fortresses of socialism.
To occupy the ideological fortress of socialism means to make all the members of the society harmoniously developed social beings possessed of independent ideological consciousness and a high level of culture and turn the whole society into a political and ideological integral whole which is firmly united with a single ideology and revolutionary comradeship and into a great harmonious family.
To conquer the material fortress of socialism is to establish a unitary public ownership of the means of production and highly develop the productive forces so as to realize distribution according to needs.
In order to successfully occupy these two fortresses, the work to occupy them should be pushed forward simultaneously with absolute priority given to conquering the ideological fortress.
The work to occupy these fortresses is precisely the process of modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
Modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is a sacred revolutionary cause of conquering the ideological and material fortresses of socialism and completely realizing the independence of the popular masses by transforming man, society and nature as required by Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
This is the highest program of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism scientifically clarifies the strategy and line of struggle to be held fast to in completing the socialist cause like the target and lawful course of the socialist construction and fundamental principles and strategic lines to be adhered to in socialist construction. Therefore, it constitutes the most powerful ideological and theoretical guideline which enables the Party and state of the working class to accomplish the socialist cause with a clear orientation of struggle.
All the officials, Party members and other working people should perform their duties in the sacred struggle to conquer the ideological and material fortresses of socialism under the banner of modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
