Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung built the advantageous people-centered socialist system in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, regarding it as his lifetime motto to believe in people as in Heaven.
With the approach of the anniversary of his demise (July 8), the yearning of the people for the President is growing stronger.
Nam Sun Nyo, vice-president of the Grand People's Study House, told KCNA:
The name of the Grand People's Study House is closely associated with the loving care of the President for the people.
The President initiated the construction of a large-size study house for workers, farmers, intellectuals and youths and students in the best place of Pyongyang.
When officials suggested that the study house under construction is named "Kim Il Sung Library" or "Kim Il Sung Study House", he said that he had thought of its name for a long time and it would be good to name it the Grand People's Study House.
And he gave detailed instructions to complete the study house in reflection of the people's demand and aspiration.
Thanks to his energetic guidance, the 10-storied study house with a total floor space of 100 000 square meters was completed in a year and nine months.
The study house built in Korean style has 10 blocks and 30-odd Korean-style roofs.
It houses 20-odd reading rooms with 6 000 seats in all, over 10 lecture rooms equipped with modern facilities for education, question-and-answer rooms and music halls.
The Grand People's Study House provides the people with ideal conditions for studying as the central base for public education and information and the base for disseminating science and technology. -0-
