With the national emergency anti-epidemic system having been raised to the top level, the anti-epidemic campaign has further been stepped up in the DPRK.
All sectors and units including the emergency anti-epidemic headquarters, Party and working people’s organizations, government organs and anti-epidemic and public health institutions at all levels have intensified the political work and information activities in order to raise public awareness of the spirit of the emergency enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and further encourage all the people to take an active part in the anti-epidemic campaign. Timely measures have been taken to establish a strict order of achieving unity in action and taking concerted actions over the whole society.
Kaesong City, where a grave situation has been created which might lead to deadly and destructive consequences, has completely been blockaded with its districts and areas being isolated from each other and its people under strict quarantine and medical examination. Materials like testing equipment, hazmat suits, masks and non-contact thermometers, all kinds of medicines, medical supplies and antiseptics are supplied to the city promptly.
The Cabinet, ministries and national agencies have taken substantial steps to provide the people in the blockaded areas with enough foodstuffs, sanitary goods and fuel needed for their everyday life.
The central emergency anti-epidemic headquarters have tightened the isolation and blockade of the borders, areas along the Military Demarcation Line and coastal areas, reinforced the anti-epidemic posts and their personnel at major points and ensured that tests of water quality are responsibly carried out according to seasonal conditions.
Health workers are intensifying medical examinations and tests of employees of institutions and enterprises to prevent any faults from occurring in the anti-epidemic fight and strongly demanding the people wear masks and sterilize hands strictly in accordance with the anti-epidemic regulations.
Anti-epidemic headquarters at all levels ensure that hands are disinfected and temperatures are measured more responsibly at public transport means, service amenities and public places and organize the work more carefully to inspire all the people to fulfil their civic duty in the fight against the epidemic.
