The Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea rendered special aid materials for the citizens in Kaesong which has been totally blocked.
As regards the dangerous situation in the city of Kaesong that may lead to a deadly and destructive disaster, the WPK Central Committee made sure that the state emergency anti-epidemic system was shifted over to the top-grade emergency system and took one emergency measure after another to stabilize the living of citizens. This time, it did a great favour of sending lots of food and subsidy in special aid.
A train carrying the special aid materials arrived at Kaesong Railway Station on the afternoon of August 7.
A meeting took place at the conference hall of the Kaesong City Committee of the WPK to convey the aid materials bestowed by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un on the Kaesong citizens.
Ri Man Gon, member of the Political Bureau and first deputy department director of the WPK Central Committee, made a conveying address.
The Supreme Leader made sure that emergency measures were taken to supply food and medicines right after the city was totally blocked, and that lots of rice and subsidy were sent to the city this time again.
Noting that he is concerned about the Kaesong citizens day and night and he would be relieved if his humble sincerity helped encourage and hearten them, he bestowed great trust on all officials and other people in the city that they would overcome the difficulties with confidence.
He said the inconvenience suffered by the citizens is precisely the pain of the Party and taking care of them is the deserved duty of the motherly Party, and that he would be always with the citizens who turned out in the campaign for checking the spread of the malignant virus.
The speaker called on all officials to do their best to stabilize the living of residents by giving full play to the spirit of making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people, bearing deep in mind the noble intention and earnest request of the Supreme Leader.
He was followed by speeches.
Speakers said that the Supreme Leader paid close attention to the supply of food, cooking oil, daily necessaries, electricity and coal from the first day of the blockade of the city, noting that his benevolent care is indeed higher than the sky and deeper than the sea.
They called on the citizens to overcome the present pandemic crisis without fail, united more closely behind the Party Central Committee with firm trust in it.
After the meeting, the participants gave vent to their feelings, hardly repressing their excitement.
