Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un inspected Taechong-ri in Unpha County, North Hwanghae Province which was hit by unexpected natural disaster and, on the dangerous spot, took specific measures to supply the reserve grain of the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission to the residents in the flood-stricken area so as to promptly stabilize their living conditions.
Trucks carrying the grain arrived in Unpha County on the morning of August 9.
A meeting of conveying the solicitude shown by Kim Jong Un for the residents was held at the county seat.
Upon authorization of Kim Jong Un, Ri Il Hwan, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, made a conveying address.
He said that, upon receiving the report that lots of houses in Unpha County were submerged by the flood, Kim Jong Un inspected the flood-hit area before everything and took measures to stabilize the living of inhabitants as soon as possible, feeling very sorry for the situation of those who were left homeless.
He noted that the Supreme Leader, who sat up all night for worry about them, went round several places in Taechong-ri early in the next morning and unfolded a grand operation for building dwelling houses as a model at an earliest date possible.
He called on the participants to keep deep in mind the warm love and benevolent affection of Kim Jong Un and finish the project for rehabilitation as soon as possible and thus made a report of glad news to him who is so anxious about the life of people in the afflicted area.
He was followed by speeches.
