September 9 is the birthday of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
The foundation of the DPRK was a fruition of President Kim Il Sung's energetic guidance.
The President had worked heart and soul for its foundation.
During the anti-Japanese armed struggle, he set forth the Juche-based line on building a people's power and established a people's revolutionary government at the guerrilla bases to provide a historic root for power building.
After Korea's liberation from Japan's colonial rule, he made public immoral works "On Building the Party, State and Armed Forces in the Liberated Homeland", "On Progressive Democracy" and "On the Building of New Korea and the National United Front" to lay an ideological basis of nation-building.
Thanks to his energetic guidance, the Provisional People's Committee of North Korea was organized as a central power organ and the 11-point immediate tasks and "Twenty-point Platform" were advanced as its duty.
The tasks and platform served as a banner of struggle for all the Korean people as they are the programme of anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution, an embodiment of "The Ten-Point Programme of the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland" worked out in the flames of the anti-Japanese revolution and developed in keeping with the new situation and requirements of the developing revolution after the country's liberation.
The President established the People's Committee of North Korea in February Juche 36 (1947) to consolidate the success of democratic reforms and settle the issue of power, a priority in the phase of socialist revolution. And he convened in Pyongyang the Joint Conference of Representatives of Political Parties and Social Organizations in North and South Korea to provide a socio-political foundation for establishing a unified central government.
On the basis of such achievements, he declared the birth of the DPRK to the world on September 9, 1948.
The foundation of the DPRK was a brilliant victory of his Juche-based idea and line on nation-building.
