Various units in North Hamgyong Province held meetings to vow to turn out in the campaign for recovery from typhoon damage in response to the appeal made by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
At the meetings reports and speeches were made.
Reporters and speakers recalled the open letter sent by the Supreme Leader to all the Party members in the capital city of Pyongyang during his inspection of the typhoon-afflicted area in South Hamgyong Province.
They expressed their will to dedicate themselves to living up to the great trust and expectation of Kim Jong Un who said that there are many Party members and organizations and major forces of the working class in South and North Hamgyong provinces, and they, too, will fully understand the intention of the Party Central Committee and do a good job of the reconstruction projects.
Speakers at the meetings held by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee said that they would become brave standard-bearers and vanguard fighters who boldly organize and direct the construction in the revolutionary working manner of devotedly carrying out the tasks given by the Party and open a road of advance in the campaign.
At the meeting held by the employees of the Chongjin Steel Plant the speakers represented the strong will of its workers to overhaul and reinforce the typhoon-afflicted production processes and produce more Juche-based iron by stepping up technical updating and taking measures for full provision of raw materials and fuel.
Agricultural workers in Rimmyong Co-op Farm of Kim Chaek City and Ryongyon Co-op Farm of Kyonghung County in their meetings expressed their will to attain this year's goals of grain production and greet the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with brilliant labor achievements.
Speakers at the meeting of the teaching staff of Chongjin University of Mining and Metallurgy said that they would find themselves in the worksites for providing the flood-stricken people with stable living condition as early as possible and successfully build their dwelling houses by waging a vigorous campaign.
