Lingling, typhoon No. 13 in 2019 that had begun to exert influence upon the Korean peninsula from September 7, 2019 was accompanied by strong wind and heavy rain, thus bringing about some damage in North and South Hwanghae Provinces and several other areas of the country. Strong wind blew at a velocity of 25 meters per second in several areas rooting up the street trees and destroying roofs of dwelling houses and public buildings. Farmland was submerged and different kinds of damage were caused by typhoon. However, all sectors and units took necessary measures to prevent the damage and started rehabilitation immediately, thus minimizing the typhoon damage.

Looking at the trustworthy People’s Army soldiers standing in van of the rehabilitation, the Korean people reminded the saying of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un said.

“We should boundlessly respect the people, regard their interests as supreme and take care of them with maternal affection.”

The Supreme Leader was concerned so much about influences to be inflicted by typhoon Lingling upon the people’s life and property that he held and guided an emergency enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

The Supreme Leader said in detail… It is necessary to find out all people in mountains, ravines, streams, low lands, submerged-to-be dangerous zones and landslide-suspended areas, underground spaces and buildings with danger of collapse and evacuate them to safe places. The People’s Army should become the main force in the campaign to prevent the damage caused by typhoon…

Thanks to his wise leadership the DPRK prepared every full preparation to prevent typhoon and it could frustrate ferocities of nature with success.

But for the Workers’ Party of Korea!

Natural calamity exists in every age and in every country.

Man cannot live on without nature. But man suffers from misfortunes and pains due to wildness of the nature at times.

Only in 2020, neighboring countries suffered from typhoon, flood, heavy rain and other huge damage caused by natural calamities. Lots of people have suddenly lost their families, homes and dear life and they are now suffering pains under difficult living conditions.

However, the people in the DPRK minimized damage of the typhoon and continued with vigour their worthwhile life. Typhoon Lingling swept away many things also from the DPRK, but instead it gave something very precious to the DPRK people.

It is the firm faith that they are not afraid of any difficulties and wildness of nature as they are led by the WPK.

The WPK becomes a sledgehammer and a shield to punish and stop anything that infringes even a bit upon the people’s life, health and interests. The DPRK people shout:

We have the great WPK!

We have the Supreme Leader!
