Thanks to the devoted efforts of the Party members from the capital city who are creating miracles of turning misfortune into blessing, victims of natural disasters in Hongwon County of South Hamgyong Province moved into newly built houses on the east coast.

On his recent visit to the reconstruction site in the county, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un looked round the houses associated with the sweat and passion of the Party members from Pyongyang for a long while, described the houses as the crystallization of their loyalty to the Party and expressed his great satisfaction as he said that the houses built by the Party members from the capital city felt dearest as the Chairman of the WPK and he was proud of them.

A ceremony of moving into new homes took place on October 18 at the Unpho Workers’ District.

It was attended by Choe Hwi, commander of the 1st Division of the Party Members from the Capital City and also vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, Ri Yong Sik, political commissar of the division and concurrently first deputy director of the Information and Publicity Department of the WPK Central Committee, relevant officials, commanding officers and members of the division and officials, working people and afflicted people in the county.

A congratulatory speech by Ri Jong Nam, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the WPK, was followed by the presentation of house licences to the locals.

The owners of the new houses expressed their resolve to return the favour bestowed by the Party in deep gratitude.

After the meeting was over, they moved into new homes receiving congratulations by officials and builders and all the villagers danced for joy.

Kim Yu Su, resident of neighbourhood unit No. 93 of the workers’ district, extended heartfelt thanks to the Supreme Leader, saying he had visited their disaster-stricken village before their parents did, showed them warm affection and provided them with houses as excellent as those in towns.

Kim Ho Ryol, special-class honoured disabled soldier in the Kyongpho Workers’ District, said today’s great change was brought about by the warm love of the benevolent, fatherly leader who grieves over the people’s sufferings more than anybody else, takes warm care of them and shares joy and sorrow with them, adding that the Supreme Leader and socialist system are the best in the world.

Ri Kwang Ryong, chairman of the Hongwon County People’s Committee, said he has learned a great deal from the loyalty and revolutionary way of work of the hard-core Party members from Pyongyang and pledged himself to fulfil his duty as the householder in charge of the county’s economic management by upholding the Party’s people-first politics.
