“All sorts of slanders are being made against the DPRK beyond the tolerance limit in south Korea and more undisguised dangerous moves are being made to lead this incident to an international anti-DPRK smear campaign. The serious reality is violating once again the limits of magnanimity and good faith the DPRK has so far maintained,” said the Korean Central News Agency in a report on Thursday.

The report came as such impertinent attempts as at insulting the DPRK’s good faith and maximizing distrust and confrontation between the fellow countrymen are getting more blatant in south Korea over the unsavoury incident in which a south Korean resident died after illegally intruding into the waters of the West Sea of Korea a month ago.

The report said that the north and the south are now technically at war, not in peace, and the site of the incident was the hotspot in the West Sea where north and south sides are standing in acute confrontation, and continued:

At that time soldiers of the north did not know the intention of the southern intruder into the waters under the control of their side and the person did not immediately respond to their demand. Therefore, it is certain how the soldiers on their routine duty could have reacted.

But as the unexpected incident happened in the waters where the DPRK’s sovereignty is exercised, the north side conveyed feelings of regret to the south side, taking into consideration the present state of the north-south relations, and has exercised maximum patience, passing over the slandering of all descriptions from the south since the incident.

However, conservative forces of south Korea including the People Power Party steeped in the confrontation complex against the fellow countrymen have been hell-bent on slandering the compatriots, talking about "atrocity" and "human rights abuse". They are also recklessly bustling about in order to make the recent incident an opportunity for attaining their dirty political purposes.

They are even calling for bringing the issue to the international arena including the UN, while faulting the north’s "human rights issue".

From the outset, they have been set to foster distrust and hostility toward the fellow countrymen and to find and magnify excuses for blaming the current south Korean authorities for incompetence, while making no endeavour for forming a reasonable judgment on the incident and seeking right solution.

To describe good faith shown by the fellow countrymen as a knife seems to be an inveterate bad habit of the conservative forces.

The north has been fed up with the frenzy of the conservative forces sustaining their life with anti-DPRK confrontation, but it cannot but call that to account, given that they deliberately persist in uttering tricky curses over the incident.

It is well aware that their reckless acts are designed to raise the unprecedented storm of anti-DPRK confrontation and of "exposure of pro-communists" in south Korean society with the incident as a momentum.

No fabrication and trick of the conservative forces can ever tarnish the image of the dignified DPRK whose national trait is to respect, love and prioritize the people whatever natural disaster.

At present clouds of uneasiness and discord still hang heavily low over the relationship between the north and the south due to those lunatics who idle away time with confrontation with the fellow countrymen and political strife and who are hell-bent on causing social chaos, while being indifferent to the deteriorating people's livelihood and pandemic crisis and being greedy for power.

The north side does not want to see the repetition of any more unpleasant precedents in which accidental incidents led north-south relations to a catastrophe. This is its stand.

The report warned that the south Korean conservative forces’ reckless confrontational act might invite greater disaster.
