Soldier builders are scaling up achievements at the rehabilitation site in the Komdok area of South Hamgyong Province.
They built single-, low- and multi-storey houses for more than 2 300 families in less than two months. They devoted every sincere effort to house construction with the mind of building their own homes and villages and after completing them they furnished each household with kitchen utensils to make their owners happy.
The units of the Korean People’s Army, which almost finished the house building project in the Komdok area, buckled down to river improvement and road construction from mid-November.
With the determination to finish them which had been thought to take some months in a matter of fifteen days, service personnel carried out hundreds of cubic metres of concrete placing for foundations and stone covering every day, while widening roads, building retaining walls and fixing thousands of protective piles and guardrails.
