Pyongyang, January 15 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill is a leading silk thread producer in the country, which plays a big role in improving the people's standard of living.
The mill with reeling, spooling, silk spinning and other processes has mass-produced quality silk threads.
It is associated with the patriotic devotion of President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
The President appointed the site of the mill and settled in detail the issues arising in its construction. After its completion, he visited it several times to indicate the tasks and ways for increasing the silk thread production.
The Chairman, too, visited the mill several times. In January Juche 98 (2009), he toured it despite the intense cold and gave instructions for boosting the production. After that, he named the mill "Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill" and personally wrote the name to be carved on the hanging board of the mill in August 2009.
Under the guidance of the Supreme Leader, the mill has renovated its appearance as a model to be proud of in the world, over-fulfilling its national economic plan every year.
In recent years, the mill has turned into a comprehensive consumer goods producer equipped with sanitary goods and quilt production processes.
It put its overall production processes, ranging from preparation of raw materials to production, on a streamlined basis and boosted the production by installing new type of machines with high productivity and efficiency. -0-
