Premier of the Cabinet Kim Tok Hun made a pledge at the Fourth Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly on behalf of the members of the Cabinet.

He said.

Upon assuming a heavy responsibility of the Premier of the Cabinet by

the deep political trust of the respected

Kim Jong Un

, General Secretary

of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, I solemnly pledge before the current session of

the Supreme People's Assembly, on behalf of the members of the Cabinet,

to satisfy at any cost the belief and expectation of the Party and the

people.

The Cabinet, the administrative performance organ of the

supreme sovereignty of the Republic, will do the organizational and

commanding work of the economy for the implementation of the decisions

of the Eighth Congress of the Party in a responsible way, taking the

lines and policy of the Workers' Party of Korea as the lifeline, and

fully discharge its mission and duty in the struggle for the national economic development and the improvement of people's living.

It will uphold in high esteem with pure loyalty and conscience the

respected

Kim Jong Un

, great head of our Party, state and people and

outstanding leader of the Juche revolution, and thoroughly establish the

unified leadership of the Party over the economic work.

According

to the general orientation of the economic construction presented at the

Eighth Congress of the Party, the Cabinet will concentrate efforts on

the key industries, the lifeline of the national economy, to be

primarily bolstered for the overall development of the national economy

and the improvement of the people's living during the period of the new

5-year plan, taking it a major point to lay a solid foundation for

vitalizing the national economy and improving the people's living. 

The

Cabinet will actively contribute to the strengthening of the military

power of the country in every way by ensuring the facilities, materials

and fund needed for the development of the defence industry

and the modernization of the armed equipment.

The people's committees at all levels will sincerely uphold the ideal

of the Party of believing in the people as in heaven and the people-first politics to make devoted service to the people in its works and activities

and fully discharge their responsibility and duty as the master

responsible for the livelihood of the people.

He firmly pledged again to carry out the heavy duty of the Premier of the

Cabinet with deep sense of heavy responsibility for the national

economy before the Party and state at the crucial and vital time

of the development of the Korean revolution and by displaying unusual passion and

boundless devotion, thus satisfying the great trust of the respected

Kim Jong Un

and expectation of the people with success in his work.
