Pyongyang, January 21 (KCNA) -- All the people in the DPRK are now in high spirits with the fighting strategies for a fresh victory in the revolution set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Achieving a great fresh victory on all fronts by remarkably increasing our own strength, our internal force, in socialist construction - this is the main idea and main spirit of the 8th WPK Congress.
The main idea and main spirit of the Congress are encouraging the officials and workers throughout the country to a new struggle.
Officials and workers of all the economic sectors and units have turned out in the struggle to open a broad avenue for achieving prosperity by dint of self-reliance.
The Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex and other leading iron producers are striving to carry through the tasks facing the metallurgical industrial sector set forth by the 8th WPK Congress.
Workers of the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, the Sodusu Power Station and other power production units have produced much amount of electricity every day by raising the efficiency of generators to the maximum.
Agricultural workers on the front of main thrust for defending socialism turn out in a drive to raise the fertility of soil by manuring a great deal of huminite and compost to fields with their strong resolve to hit the target of grain production at any cost.
The Sangwon Cement Complex, which surpassed its peak-year levels several times in the period of attaining the goals of the five-year strategy for national economic development, and other cement factories make uninterrupted innovations and progress for hitting the production target in the new five-year plan ahead of schedule.
Light industrial workers, too, are all out in the struggle to increase the production of consumer goods this year, holding fast to the strategy of recycling.
