string(1348) "The official website of the Korea Central News Agency (KCNA), North Korea's national news service. It was launched in late 2010, but because of a deletion of older content in late 2013 its archive currently goes back only to that time. Following the purge of Jang Song Thaek in late 2013, the website deleted its archive presumably to delete any references to him.
The website also includes a smaller photos and videos section that accompany reports. A section on Kim Jong Un usually is the first publicly available North Korean media to announce news on him. This section also includes an archive of events, texts and speeches, photos as well as other news related to Kim Jong Un.
Next to Korean, it publishes also translations in five other languages. While about three of four texts is translated into English, only half of the content is translated for the other languages.
The website offers several thematic news sections which differ by language similar to the different layouts of Rodong Sinmun for every language. The Korean website of KCNA currently features ten sections, contrasting with only eight in English. Sections on domestic news, foreign relations and inter-Korean news can only be found in Korean, while the English sections for science and health-education sections are presumably summarized under society & life."
