The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex deepens the research into energy-saving blast furnace and refining process, pushing ahead with the work to meet the growing demand for iron and steel through the establishment of a new iron production process.
The Chollima Steel Complex has directed efforts to lowering the production cost by introducing the oxygen-pulverized coal injection technology into UHP electric arc furnace, in cooperation with scientific institutes, and building new gas generators.
Meanwhile, the Posan Iron Works is speeding up the work to lower the cost of Juche-based iron production through the introduction of a new blast technology. -0-
