Koreans in Japan continue to stage protest actions against the Japanese government's discrimination of Korean schools and for defending the right to national education.
The "Action of Yamaguchi Prefectural Network Supporting Korean Schools 'Right to Learning for All Children!'" took place in Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan on February 10th under the co-sponsorship of the "Yamaguchi Prefectural Network Supporting Korean Schools" and the Measures Committee for Subsidy of Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Speeches were made and the participants staged a demonstration and a signature-seeking campaign in the street denouncing the Japanese authorities and the local autonomous bodies for their unjust discrimination moves, holding with them the printed matters demanding the resumption of payment of subsidy to the Yamaguchi Korean Primary and Middle School and the application of the program for "Free education and Upbringing of Children".
The Fukuoka Prefectural people's rally was held in Fukuoka Prefecture on February 13 in demand of the realization of the application of high school support program to Korean school.
Meanwhile, a rally was held in Saitama City of Saitama Prefecture on February 22, demanding the restart of supplying the subsidy to Saitama Korean Primary and Middle School and the solution of the issue on support to Korean kindergartens.
