Patriotism dose not come of its own accord. It grows when we plant a tree and cultivate it with sincerity.
On March 2, Juche 104(2015), the Arbor Day, the respected
Kim Jong Un
visited a unit under the Air and Anti-Aircraft Force of the Korean People's Army and planted trees with combat pilots.
Holding a shovel in his hands, he taught one by one the problems arising in planting trees according to the scientific and technological requirements such as pit-digging, watering, tamping and propping.
When the tree-planting was over, he looked at the planted trees carefully and praised all of them for having done it methodically. And he beamed all over his face, saying: As you planted the trees with sincerity, they will grow in thick verdure. When those trees grow thick, the surrounding will be really beautiful.
On the Arbor Day in Juche 106(2017), too, he called at the Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and planted trees with sincerity together with its children.
He said the teaching staff should lead the children to devote all their sincerity and passion to the tree-planting and, moreover, to display their pure conscience and patriotism and become a root and manure for the green woods.
That day, he planted trees together with children for a long time, saying that what is important in the tree-planting is not how many trees were planted, but how many trees struck their roots.
Looking at the planted trees one by one, he said: Well done. If you grow up and call at the school later, you will remember today, seeing the thick trees.
True to the noble intention of
Kim Jong Un
that we should show patriotism before planting trees, the people across the country turn out on the Arbor Day to plant trees with all their sincerity. Thanks to their patriotism, the mountains and fields on this land become greener.
