One hundred days of 2021, the year which the people the world over greeted with great hope and dream, have passed.

And then this day is passing.

Over the past one hundred days, the DPRK has conducted gigantic projects for the promotion of the people’s well-being.

On the morning of New Year’s day, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a letter to all the people. In the letter he wrote that in the new year he will continue striving to hasten the dawn of the new era in which the ideals and desires of his people will come true and renewed his pledge always to remain faithful to his great people.

From the first day of the year, he devoted his all to living up to the pledge.

The Eighth Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea, held in Pyongyang from January 5 to 12 in his presence, discussed and decided on the tasks to be carried out in the coming five years for the revival and development of the country and happiness of the people.

The grand performance and military parade held with splendour to commemorate the Congress added to the happiness and delight of the Korean people who were full of hope for the future.

The Second Plenary Meeting of Eighth WPK Central Committee, held from February 8 to 11 under the guidance of General Secretary Kim Jong Un , discussed as its first agenda item on thoroughly implementing the first year's tasks under the five-year plan set forth by the Eighth Party Congress.

The First Short Course for Chief Secretaries of City and County Party Committees was held in early March under guidance of Kim Jong Un . At the course the General Secretary consistently stressed that they should faithfully serve the people.

As he was always ready to pluck even a star from the sky if it was for the people and for their happiness, he participated in the ground-breaking ceremony of project for building 10 000 flats in Pyongyang on March 23. In the speech he made at the ceremony, he said that the Party decided that the project must go ahead unconditionally, since it will have a direct impact on the life of the citizens of the capital, and since it is an important political undertaking in the first year of implementing the decisions of the Party Congress.

Later, with a plan to have 800 terraced houses built on the Pothong riverside in the central area of the capital city, he visited the site for two times.

And when he was seeing the trial products of new passenger buses, he took measures for easing the strain on passenger transport in the capital city.

One hundred days passed along with his love and devotion for the people, and this day is passing in this way.

At the Sixth Conference of Cell Secretaries of the WPK held in early April, he said the Party Central Committee intends to turn the coming five years into the successful period in propping up national economy and resolving the problems of food, clothing and housing for the people and the period of upsurge of sprucing up the country again.

Thanks to the leadership of the WPK which regards the people-first principle as the basic political mode of socialism, every day in the DPRK is passing with the struggle for creating the wealth of the people.
