A Korean book and photo exhibition opened at the hall of culture in Partizansk City, Russia, on April 9 to mark the 109th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the second anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un's visit to the Russian Federation.
On display at its venue were photos showing the revolutionary career of the President and Kim Jong Un's visit to Russia.
Also on show were works of the President, Chairman Kim Jong Il and the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, and Korean books and photos.
The opening ceremony was attended by personages of the city administration, the city branch of the United Russia Party and the city committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the DPRK consul general and consuls in Vladivostok, and others.
The city mayor said in his speech that he was pleased that the event opened in commemoration of the significant anniversaries, adding the city administration would strive to boost diversified cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.
Saying that the exhibition was a significant occasion for infusing national pride into all the Korean compatriots in the city, the head of the association for Korean nation’s cultural autonomy of the city noted the organization would work hard to implant the excellent traditions of the Korean nation deeply in the minds of the rising generations and contribute to the prosperity of the homeland.
A ceremony of donating Korean books was also held at the city hall of culture on the same day.
