Premier makes field survey of Unryul Mine and farms in South Hwanghae Province

Kim Tok Hun, Member of the Presidium of the Political
Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK and Premier of the Cabinet
of the DPRK, made a field survey of the Unryul Mine and the agricultural work of South Hwanghae Province.
Looking round different places including the Youth Mining District of the
Unryul Mine, Premier Kim referred to the detailed problems on producing a
larger amount of iron ore to be sent to the gigantic metallurgical bases,
accelerating the development of the Sohaeri Sub-mine and introducing the advanced science and technology into the production.
Visiting several co-op farms in Unryul, Sinchon, Pyoksong, Chongdan,
Pongchon, Yonan and Paechon Counties in South Hwanghae Province, the
Premier called for actively introducing the profitable farming methods
and decisively raising the rate of mechanization in the farm work.
He
also stressed the need for agricultural guidance officials to absolutely
do away with such old working methods as exaggeration and formalism and
carry out the work in an efficient way, giving priority to the production of organic compound fertilizer and the increased production in the low-yield farmlands.
At the consultative meetings held on the spot, practical issues
were discussed and measures taken to properly conduct the
operation and command for the expansion of production capacities to boost
the iron ore production. The meetings also called on the organic compound
fertilizer factories to increase the production of slow action
fertilizer to be supplied to the co-op farms.
