Pyongyang, April 17 (KCNA) -- Popular art performances were given across the DPRK to celebrate the Day of the Sun (birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung).
Songs of reverence and praise of all the people for Kim Il Sung resounded throughout the country.
Performances were given in cultural halls and outdoor stages in each province, city and county, livening up the atmosphere of the balmy spring holiday of April.
In the capital city performances were given by art groups of various units in Pyongyang.
Art group performances in all parts of the country deepened the earnest yearning of the people for Kim Il Sung who walked the path of passionate love and devotion for the country and the people all his life.
Colorful numbers given by art group members of various organizations in local areas showed the joy of the people celebrating the Day of the Sun.
Performances in each province, city and county gave impressive depiction of our people's iron faith and will to add brilliance to the revolutionary feats of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, who opened up a new history of socialist Korea and a new age of independence, down through generations.
