Officials and workers across the country who turned out in spring tree planting have planted more than a hundred million trees in a matter of a month.
South Phyongan Province has so far transplanted over 20 millions of saplings grown with much care at tree nurseries of different counties.
North Hwanghae Province has introduced advanced methods into afforestation of an area of thousands of hectares and boosted the rate of rooting of saplings by using various growth stimulants.
South Hamgyong province has rationally allocated manpower to plant good species of trees in a large area while arranging a show on tree planting and manuring and tending.
Similar successes are being made in Nampho City, Kaesong City and other parts of the country.
