Thousands of hectares of wild fruit woods were newly created in South Hwanghae Province. Many pine-nut trees, chestnut trees, Aronia melanocarpa, wild grape trees and tara vines were planted in this year's spring tree-planting period.
People in Sinwon and Ongjin counties created hundreds of hectares of woods with more than 10 kinds of wild fruit.
Those in Paechon County, Haeju City and Chongdan County expanded the area of their wild fruit woods by over 200 hectares respectively. The area of wild fruit woods was increased by over 150 hectares in Kangryong, Kwail and Unchon counties each.
People in Unryul, Pyoksong and Pongchon counties planted various wild fruit trees with high productivity on mountains in the right time, preserving the principle of planting the right tree on the right soil.
People in the province are taking good care of the wild fruit trees while paying attention to preparing wild fruit saplings for next year's tree planting.
