The work to create cage-net fishing grounds is brisk in all parts of the country.
Pyongyang City is making successes in its active efforts for creating cage-net fishing grounds.
The Taedonggang Pisciculture and Breed Fish Supply Station is breeding fishes including carp, Ryongjong fish and grass fish in the floating cage-net fishing grounds to inspect and control the feed supplying, temperature and pH on a real-time basis.
The net fishing stations in Tongdaewon and Songyo Districts have installed the mobile cage-net fishing grounds suitable to the picturesque River Taedong in a short span of time and are accelerating the work to equip them with the water quality measuring equipment and reagents in a planned way.
This year, the Hapo Fish Farm of Kumya County in South Hamgyong Province has built 3,000 square metres of cage-net fishing ground and a microorganism development ground in accordance with its actual conditions and is paying deep concern to the solution of the feed additives.
Several fish farms including those in Pukchong and Kowon Counties have positively introduced the efficient protein feed production method, thus fully taking measures for feed supply.
Those in the fish breeding sector of North Phyongan Province including Hyangsan and Cholsan Counties have massively set up cage-net fishing grounds in the regions rich in water resources and good for fish growth and are properly carrying out the work to produce fries of good breed by organizing well the nutrition administration of breed fishes and raising the rate of incubation.
South Hwanghae, North Hamgyong and Jagang Provinces are installing the cage-net fishing grounds manufactured by themselves in rivers, lakes and reservoirs by turn while taking practical measures for putting fish farming on a scientific and intensive basis.
