The Ongnyonsan Stone River is located in Pujon County, South Hamgyong Province.
A valley is full of stones. It is called Ongnyonsan Stone River as water flows under the stone river, which is 120 metres wide and 700 metres long.
Large rocks were weathered into smaller stones, which rolled down along the valley to form the present shape of a river.
Water is invisible as it flows under the stones, the quiet and deep sound of running water gives a deep impression to visitors.
The water flows in the form of underground water but it reveals itself at the end of stones.
This wonderful stone river is under protection as a natural monument for its academic significance and fine scenery.
