It is a peculiar trait of the Korean people to make leap forward and innovations by dint of unity and cohesion of the ranks based on one ideology and purpose.

One August day in Juche 107 (2018), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of the then Samjiyon County in Ryanggang Province. He said that all the persons mobilized in socialist construction, whether they are superiors or subordinates, are comrades who make endeavours to attain one goal with the same aspiration.

In September last year, he presided over the enlarged meeting of the Executive Policy Council of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea for organizing the campaign for recovery from natural disasters in the areas of South and North Hamgyong provinces hit by Typhoon No. 9. He said that it would be good to make the capital city of Pyongyang positively aid the provinces so as to make the noble spiritual and moral virtues, whereby all members of society preferentially take care of those living in a difficult situation and overcome difficulties while sharing joy and sorrow with them all the time, a socialist practice of the country. He continued that it is natural for the Party members, especially those in the capital, to take the lead of others when the country undergoes difficulties and hardships and this would make a great contribution to further cementing the single-minded unity of our society.

True to his intention to bring earlier the victory of the revolution by dint of unity and cohesion of the ranks based on comradeship, the Korean people are pooling efforts and joining minds even in the face of difficulties to make greater achievements.

The DPRK has made vigorous advance along the road chosen by itself without any vacillation in the face of the worst adversity and opened the avenue for achieving prosperity by dint of self-reliance. It is not because the country had tremendous economic power or billions of funds, but because all its people have made collective and coordinated innovations, closely united around their leader in purpose and kinship.

Choe Sun Gil, head of silk-spinning combined workshop of the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill, said all his workteam members have become innovators by helping and leading one another forward under the slogan “Let all of us become innovators”.

“My honour belongs to the honour of my collective. Now that my colleagues receive congratulations all together, I’m even more happy,” he added.

The single-hearted unity of the Korean people, in which a workshop, a factory or a sector helps and leads one another forward and makes advance towards the same goal with one idea and aspiration, is the source of invincible power for them to emerge victorious, whatever ordeals they may face.
