Our people still remember the workers of the Kangson Steelworks who ever lived in the Chollima era.
In those days the DPRK Labor Hero Jin Ung Won tried persistently to ensure that the smelters of not only his shift but also other shifts held fast to the above slogan.
Although the work of his shift was over he always failed to take a good rest to help other shift in its work. He went the length of often missing his lunch to aid another shift and returning home carrying his untouched lunchbox with him.
Consequently, the workers of the KS effected innovations in their steel production.
Much water has flown under the bridge since then. But the collectivist spirit of the Chollima era has so far lasted in the country as it is. The result is that the people still place the collective above themselves as during the era.
It is considered the noble ethics of our society that all do good to one in the country.
Thanks to the great leaders and benevolent fathers of the nation, the slogan has invariably held sway over the everyday lives of our people generation after generation despite the lapse of time.
Indeed, the slogan is the epitome of a large socialist Korean family which loves the collective and puts the country before its all in single-hearted unity. This is unique to the DPRK alone in the world.
