Railway Bureau are making innovations in the railway transport and passenger service in order to implement the tasks presented at the Second Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. Meritorious Person of Socialist Patriotism An Jong Yun is standing in the van. He has been working as an official in charge of the work for the station yard for about 20 years. His colleagues call him a man of wide knowledge because he is well aware of the order of process in the non-accident, on-schedule service and operation of trains and has a wide knowledge of various fields including railway engineering and animal husbandry. Being such an official of ability, he practically led all those engaged in the operation of trains ranging from dispatcher to yardmaster to know well the disciplinary regulations and order and observe them to the letter. He found a rational way for mobile formation of trains to greatly shorten their shunting and composing times as against before. He
manufactured and installed automatic signal lamp and
switch in the station yard according to the actual conditions with his efforts and technology. In this way he made a contribution to modernizing the station yard. An Jong Yun is said to be devoting himself to the work for the employees all the time. He is making every possible effort, always thinking how to do more good things for them. He contributed to building a supply service base for regular supply of meat, eggs and vegetables and is spending much effort on its normal operation. He learns about the birthdays of the employees, the number of their family members and living conditions and pays attention to their living. Like this, his speculation and practice are oriented to ensuring the non-accident, on-schedule service of trains and providing the employees with good living. An Jong Yun says: "I like to do work of my own choice. I am satisfied with my job." An Jong Yun has done a lot of work, but does not rest content with it.
