The revolutionary drama "The Mountain Shrine", an immortal masterpiece created by the great leader Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, was re-created under the meticulous guidance of the great leader Kim Jong Il and put on the stage in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in Juche 67 (1978).  With it as a model, many other dramas of "The Mountain Shrine" style were produced.  The "Mountain Shrine"-style dramas clarified the truth that the independent ideological consciousness of the popular masses plays a decisive role in the revolution and construction. They introduced the new form of multi-scene plot, running three-dimensional stage art and peculiar music.  Along with the revolutionary drama "The Mountain Shrine", the "Mountain Shrine"-style dramas "Blood at an International Conference", "A Letter from a Daughter", "Three Pretenders" and "Celebrations" are the immortal masterpieces created by Kim Il Sung during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle and they belong to the five revolutionary dramas of the DPRK.-Revolutionary Drama "The Mountain Shrine" Re-created in Juche 67(1978)-    The revolutionary drama "The Mountain Shrine" is set in the last century when the Japanese imperialists occupied Korea and left no stone unturned to infiltrate all kinds of reactionary ideology and culture into the Korean people with the aim of further strengthening their colonial policy.  It artistically and profoundly shows the truth that the popular masses with independent ideological consciousness are the masters of the world and its only dominators.-Revolutionary Drama "Blood at an International Conference" Re-created in Juche 73(1984)-  The revolutionary drama "Blood at an International Conference", based on the "Hague Emissary Incident" in 1907, shows that dependence on foreign forces leads to national ruin and independence should be achieved through struggle with the sense of national independence.  ("Hague Emissary Incident": In June 1907 Emperor Kojong of the feudal Joson dynasty sent Ri Jun and other emissaries to the International Peace Conference held in Hague of the Netherlands in order to disclose the Japanese imperialists' invasion of Korea. When the Korean emissaries were not allowed to participate in the Conference as delegates of Korea, Ri Jun disembowelled himself in the venue of the Conference.)-Revolutionary Drama "A Letter from a Daughter" Re-created in Juche 76(1987)-     The revolutionary drama "A Letter from a Daughter" depicts the life of peasants in a mountainous village of the northern part of Korea in the late 1920s. It humorously shows the profound truth of life that a man can shape his own destiny independently and creatively when he studies hard to have a proper social consciousness.-Revolutionary Drama "Three Pretenders" Re-created in Juche 76(1987)-  The revolutionary drama "Three Pretenders" shows three prime ministers of the fictional country "Songdoguk" who scramble for the throne after the king died and finally lead the country to ruin. It gives the lesson of factional strife and disunion through their satiric representation.-Revolutionary Drama "Celebrations" Re-created in Juche 77(1988)-  The revolutionary drama "Celebrations" with the 1930s as its background shows the truth of history that invincible is the strength of the people fighting in the spirit of national independence as masters of their own destiny through the story that the "celebrations" planned by the Japanese imperialists are turned into grand ones of the anti-Japanese guerrillas and people.
