Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- The history of the Korean revolution is a history of victory in which it has advanced, braving manifold hardships and trials with the might of ideology.
Under the guidance of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il giving priority to the ideological work and enlisting the popular masses' mental power to settle everything, the Korean revolution always emerged victorious while going through an untrodden path.
The President defeated the two imperialist formidable foes in one generation by dint of ideology and thus worked a miracle of world-historic significance. And he built a powerful socialist country, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, in Korea.
In his early years the Chairman presented the Juche theory on ideology that ideology decides everything and adhered to the line of giving importance to ideology in the whole period of his guidance over the revolution. He built up the invincible Party, power and revolutionary army by holding fast to ideology and achieved the epoch-making changes in socialist construction by stimulating the people ideologically.
The history of the Korean revolution that victoriously advanced by dint of ideology is now given steady continuity by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
Kim Jong Un declared modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the supreme programme of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) in the new century of Juche and set forth a slogan "Let Us Hasten the Final Victory through a Revolutionary Ideological Offensive!" at the 8th Conference of Ideological Workers of the WPK to make the spirit of fresh creation and rapid progress prevail throughout the country.
Under the guidance of him who leads the revolution to the victory with ideology as the motive power, the Korean people have displayed their mental power to the full, making signal achievements in the revolution and construction.
Great creation and changes by their mental power are now being witnessed everywhere of the country seething with the all-out struggle to carry out the first year task for the new five-year plan set forth at the 8th WPK Congress.
