A photo exhibition was held at the Chinese Embassy in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on June 21 to mark the 2nd anniversary of the meeting between Comrade Kim Jong Un , General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, and Comrade Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and President of the People’s Republic of China, who visited the DPRK.

On display there were photos dealing with the undying exploits performed by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un together with Comrade Xi Jinping in the development of the DPRK-China friendship, the valuable assets common to the peoples of the two countries.

Present there on invitation were Kim Song Nam, Director of the International Department of the Central Committee of the WPK, Mun Song Hyok, Vice Department Director of the WPK Central Committee, Pak Myong Ho, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ryu Un Hae, Vice-Minister of External Economic Relations, and other officials concerned.

Present there were Ambassador Li Jinjun and staff members of the Chinese Embassy.

Kim Song Nam emphasized that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un , during his significant meeting with the respected Comrade Xi Jinping, expressed his will to successfully carry forward and glorify the friendly relations between the two Parties and two countries. He added that Comrade Kim Jong Un also reaffirmed the truth that the invincibility of the DPRK-China friendship lies in defending and developing socialism with concerted efforts.

He mentioned that the top leaders of the two Parties are developing the DPRK-China relations of friendship and cooperation onto a new higher stage through their close strategic communication despite the current worsening global health crisis and serious changes in the international and regional situations.

He said that the comradely cooperation, bonds of friendship and unity between the two Parties and two countries are further deepened in different fields such as politics, the economy and culture, which accelerates the socialist construction in the two countries.

He expressed belief that the Chinese people would achieve good successes in the new journey for comprehensively building a modern socialist state and attaining the prosperity of the Chinese nation under the guidance of the CPC Central Committee with General Secretary Comrade Xi Jinping as its core.

Ambassador Li Jinjun said that General Secretary Comrade Xi Jinping’s visit to the DPRK has great significance of carrying forward the traditions and carving out the future in the development of China-DPRK relations of the new era.

The top leaders of the two Parties and two countries comprehensively reviewed the invaluable experience gained in the development of the China-DPRK relations and came to an important common understanding on safeguarding peace and stability of the Korean peninsula while jointly shaping the beautiful future of the development of the China-DPRK relations, he stressed.

Saying that the DPRK and China have ceaselessly accelerated the development of the China-DPRK relations under the guidance of General Secretary Comrade Xi Jinping and General Secretary Comrade Kim Jong Un , the Ambassador said that the Chinese side, together with the DPRK side, would continue to implement the important common understanding reached by the top leaders of the two Parties and two countries and make positive contributions to the regional peace, stability, development and prosperity by putting the China-DPRK relations of friendship on a new stage.

He sincerely hoped that the Korean people would steadily achieve new eye-opening successes in socialist construction by concentrating the efforts on implementing the decisions of the 8th Congress of the WPK under the guidance of General Secretary Comrade Kim Jong Un .
