The Korean Central News Agency made public a detailed report on the 23rd under the title "On legendary feats of victors in the Fatherland Liberation War to shine forever in the great history of self-reliance--the strenuous and indomitable heroic struggle of the people in the rear during the war" on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The report said.

As July 27 is coming nearer, which would be remembered forever along with the victorious advance of the Korean revolution, all people warmly recall the undying feats of the generation of victors in the war who defended the country and laid the foundation of an independent power with noble sacrifice and devotion.

The myth of the heroic Korean people's great victory in the unprecedentedly fierce Fatherland Liberation War in the 1950s was not merely military miracle that surprised the world. Under the guidance of the great leader Kim Il Sung, the people in the rear wrought miracles of creation and innovation to the admiration of the world people by displaying unheard-of indomitable strength and the spirit of self-reliance and fortitude, braving death in the flames of war like frontline soldiers under the slogans of "Everything for victory in the war!" and "The rear is, as it were, the front!".

The war witnessed the Kunja-ri spirit of munitions workers who inherited the spirit of Yanji bomb of the Paektu, and the dynamic campaigns to increase food production and transport, emulation drives for increased production and full assistance to the front across the country, which hastened the day of victory in the war, the report said and gave detailed accounts of the historic miracles wrought by the people in rear with the revolutionary spirit of Mt. Paektu and firm faith in their own strength during the 3-year war.

The report went on to say.

The defenders of the country in the 1950s proved in practice the truth that the people who have risen up with firm faith in the validity of their cause under the guidance of the great leader have nothing to fear and nothing impossible and only victory is in store for them.

The great victors in the war carried out the gigantic historic tasks of postwar reconstruction and socialist construction and built a socialist state independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence on this land in a short time, though the enemy said it is impossible to do so in a hundred years.

Today the Korean people remain loyal to the leadership of the great Party Central Committee and are full of confidence and revolutionary enthusiasm to hasten a new victory of the socialist construction in the spirit of defending the country and revolution and the spirit of self-reliance and fortitude displayed by the generation of victors in the war, the report said and added that no matter how many years may pass and how many generations may change, the great spirit and exploits of the victors will make the blood of our people thicker and last forever along with the victorious advance of the revolutionary cause of Juche.
